Kenny Sebastian
Kenny Sebastian is a full-time stand-up comedian, a part-time musician and also a filmmaker who has created or assisted in the production of 12 short films, two motion movies and a comedy serial too. He has been delivering sketches to his (almost- half million) YouTube subscribers for a few years and is an immensely popular character on the Indian stand-up comedy scene. One of the few comedians who also adds some music to his comic timing.
Biswa Kalyan Rath
Biswa Kalyan Rath‘s raw humour about everyday things will just make you jump out of your seats laughing and at times pondering too. Even his YouTube channel description, as well as the ones under the videos, has the unique humour and tone of Biswa. His rise to fame came with Pretentious Movie Reviews which also starred another great stand up from India, Kanan Gill.
Daniel Fernandes
Daniel Fernandes is a Mumbai-based stand-up comic who has a dark sense of humour and usually talks extensively about social issues in India or that affect our country. Another must-watch.
Zakir Khan
One of the absolute best in the business, Zakir Khan is known for his emotional connect with the audience as well as excellent comic timing. He believes that comedy isn’t just about the joke, rather it’s about a funny man saying things — and if you look at his videos, you’ll second that thought.
Abish Mathew
Another stand-up comedian who mixes comic timing and music well, Abish Mathew has been active on the stand-up scene for several years and is one of the better-known figures in the industry. He’s known for his work on his show Son of Abish and his stand-up and sketches with All India Bakchod. He’s been interviewing a lot of stand-up comics these days and trying to extract information about the way they think when they’re writing a joke.
East India Comedy
East India Company is a conglomerate of several stand-up comedians, who’re all equally good at making people laugh and roasting each other too. They’ve been in the business together for a little more than three years now and are well known for their ‘Outrage’ sketches on YouTube as well as the Ghanta awards.
SchitzenGiggles
Another conglomerate of great stand-up comedians, SNGs rise to fame can be linked to their improv comedy sketches which have been hugely successful in the India. They’ve incredible timing and almost kill it every other time. Nowadays, they’re into chat sessions with other famous stand-up comics, and it’s cool too. So, this was our list.
